PROJECT STATEMENT:

Design an urban home with a detached studio space to be occupied by visiting

artists and lecturers to Kansas State University.

PERSONAL CONCEPT:

To utilize intentional exposure to sunlight in order to create a unified indoor/outdoor environment that maximizes the artists’ natural, circadian flow of creativity.

Just as Kandinsky expresses the movement of music through his painting “Gentle Ascent”, this

San Franciscan style loft express musical movement as the hierarchy of space ascends to define a sense of “Climax” for

its users.
