Short Term Training Program on
“Supervisory Control and Data
Acquisition” Organized by Gujarat
Technological University in collaboration
with Instrumentation and Control
Engineering Department, L.D. College of
Engineering Ahmedabad from 13th June,
2016 to 17th June, 2016 at Annexe
Building, L.D. College of Engineering
Campus Ahmedabad. Around 50 delegates
comprising of faculties and industry
persons across Gujarat participated in this
program. The programme was inaugurated on 13th June, 2016 at 9:00AM by our
chief guest Mr. Madhukant Patel in the presence of Dr. Nishith Bhatt, Dr. G. P.
Vadodaria and other dignitaries by lighting the lamp and prayer.
Summary of the Programme:
Registration of all the participants for this STTP was started at 8.30 A.M. on 13th
June 2016 and given training kits. STTP coordinator Prof. V. P. Patel has given
brief detail regarding this short term training programme to all participants for all
five days.
After inauguration and tea break, the first deliberation conducted by Mr.Shaheed
Sharma on Introduction of Faculties, Trainers, Course, Syllabus and DT's Vision.
They also explained Overview of Automation and Siemens family, Siemens
Hardware Structure and Operating Principles of SCADA and hands-on practical
sessions on Win CC were done.
On the second day, Mr. Shaheed Sharma explained bit the configuration of PLC
with Win CC SCADA system with hands-on practical. Participants had developed
ladder diagrams logic for motors, level control tanks etc.
On the third day, Mr. Shaheed Sharma explained about Steps in configuring an
alarm, Alarm classes Trigger setting for discrete alarm, Displaying alarm, Alarm
view properties with hands on practice on Win CC and PLC.
On the fourth Day, Mr. Shaheed Sharma gave Introduction of Fundamentals of
Trends and then the session started with Data Logging & trends configuration.
They also demonstrated the data logging & exercise on trends related examples
and assignments were given to develop trends and alarms for some examples. They
have also demonstrated about switching of screens in SCADA.
On the Last Day, Session started with Mr.
Shaheed Sharma on Recipe management,
Configuration of recipe, Properties of recipe and
hands on practice done on recipe related
examples.
Participant’s feedback session on training:
After completion of all five days and all training
sessions, all participants has filled up the
feedback report. After evaluation of feedback
report filled by participants, we came to know
about standards of our all facilities and quality of
contents delivered to them during training.
All participants has learnt and taken hands on experience for developing
application on SCADA during said short term training programme.
Valedictory function :
The program ended with the valedictory speech by principal, Convenor and
coordinator of the program and distribution of the certificates to the participants.
