In Amber's room

Amber’s POV

We entered a spacious room, the walls and floor were both a beige color,

and there was a very noticeable size bed in one corner, and what might be

a closet through some double doors.

Wow!

I knew you would like it! Well, I’ll leave you to absorb it all, ok? *goes

downstairs*

*mumbles* Wow…..

Amber? *is standing in the doorway*

*whirls around* Oh sorry! Lost in a daydream….

*walks in* Look, Amber….

What?

I’m sorry I made you feel uncomfortable earlier, but I'm actually glad you're

here….

And I’ve been meaning to ask you something since I saw you

downstairs…..

Amber’s POV

When I looked into his auburn eyes, I forgot

everything, and lost my train of thought…..

*stutters* You're a newborn, right?

I’m 3 months old

How old were you?

Any abilities?

I’m a tracker

Hmmm….*thinks about something then flushes and looks down*

What?

I was just wondering….*says in a rush* What color were your eyes? *blushes*

*chuckles* Hazel, same as yours

Oh *blushes again*

Can I show you something?

Sure

*grabs her arm and flings her onto his back gently, then jumps out the

window*

Whoa!

Hold on *smirks*

Conner takes her to the meadow

It’s beautiful!

Really? We try to keep it that way…..*looks like he’s thinking*

What?

I was thinking…. If you haven't noticed, I’m the only one besides the kids without a

mate……

I did notice that…..

So I kind of wanted to try something…..*looks into her eyes and

leans closer*

Amber’s POV

Was he really going to kiss me? My breathing hitched

in strange places as he bent his head to my neck,

running his lips up and down my throat. It sent

shivers of electricity through me, and then, he

started to move up…..

*brushes his lips down her cheekbone until he’s at the corner of her lips*

*turns her head slightly*

Amber’s POV

I was searching, he knew what I was looking for….

*presses lips to hers gently*

*kisses him back*

Conner’s POV

When her breathing turned to gasping, I released

her…..

*breaths deeply and pulls her close to his chest and cradles her there*

*breathing slows*

After a few hours of talking…

I should take you home…..

*yawns*

Come on *smiles gently*

Ok

Back at the house…..

Don’t leave

*smiles* I won’t

*lies down on bed*

*lies down next to her*

The next day

Amber’s POV

I woke up groggy and dazed. This couldn’t be the orphanage, could it? Bed

was to comfy…

*smiles, sitting in her desk chair* Your hair looks like a rat’s nest, but I like it

Conner?

*chuckles* Yes?

*stomach growls*

You're hungry. Come.

They go downstairs to the dining room

We use it now because so many of us eat now *whispers to her*

Mmhm…..

Alright! Breakfast is ready!

Everyone who eats rushes into the dining room

After they eat

Time to go

Where?

We have to go get our breakfast

Oh *frowns*

Actually, I did my hunting earlier so I could spend the day with Amber

Really? *face brightens*

Yes. We’re going shopping.
