A Fit and Healthy LifestyleBy: Jessi Moore

The Sad Truth: Many people are dying too young or

becoming ill from being unfit. Heart disease cases and stroke victims

have been growing since the number of unfit people has been increasing.

Solution To Fix the Sad truth:

No matter who you are you need to have a healthy lifestyle.

There are many ways to achieve this to list a few to get you on a good track:

Eating Healthier choices (no take out all the time) Having the proper amount of sleep (but not too much!) Being Active ( do a daily workout) Have a positive mind set that doing these things will help

you in the future and present!

How to make a good Workout

Change it up from time to time Always try to end with some type .of

cardio. Make sure you have the proper sleep

the night before. Always continue to challenge yourself! Get a workout partner.

What Kimble Suggested: Kimble (0000)-says,” -if you have time at the end

of your sessions, you can do interval cardio. Kimble Suggests that you

› warm up for five minutes and then sprint for 30 seconds.

› Back off to a light jog or walk for 60 seconds. That's one interval.

› Repeat for 6-10 intervals, and then take five minutes to cool down-.”(p.) Cardio is very important to work on no matter what your

health goal is. You do not have to do as Kimble says exactly you can always look for other ways to do this or you can just go take a brisk walk daily.

My opinion about the truth and solution:

I personally use to be a very active person. I use to dance, play softball, and even basketball. As I got older however everything started to get a little to hectic and I ended up just dancing. Now that I am in college I no longer dance but I do try to workout at if not everyday at least every other. I personally didn’t do any kind of physical activity for a while when I first started college and I felt sluggish and not like my old self. I realized that staying active is not only good for you physically but mentally. I personally agree with the Kimble's article on fitness it is a struggle to stay fit sometimes but it something that needs to be done for your own good.

Conclusion: So my advice is if you do not have a

daily workout routine or even a weekly one is to go out there and find one that fits into your schedule and once you do that encourage someone else too! It will make all of our lives much longer and enjoyable!
