A  FEW  OF  OUR  IMPROVEMENTS

PROBLEM   PICTURE   SOLUTION   PICTURE  As  the  printer  is  located  under  the  desk,  it  is  not  always  easy  to  see  the  paper  level  indicator.  

By  placing  a  sheet  of  yellow  paper  near  the  

bottom  of  the  tray  it  gives  a  clear  indicator  when    the  paper  is  running  low  and  refilling  is  needed.  

 Kanban  cards  can  get  lost  under  paperwork  on  the  

purchasing  desk,  therefore  orders  can  get  missed  or  cards  can  get  

misplaced.  

Kanban  cards  now  have  a  clear  storage  place  on  the  

end  of  the  desk.    

 We  have  visual  control  by  the  printer  however  as  it  is  not  labelled  we  cannot  always  identify  what  is  

missing.  

Clear  labels  have  been  added  so  you  can  identify  

the  missing  items  by  name  as  well  as  shape.  

 Most  of  us  have  draws  

like  this!  Finding  anything  is  a  struggle  and  your  colleagues  cant  find  anything  either!  

By  adding  Kaizen  foam  to  the  desk  draws  

everything  now  has  a  place,  and  even  better  we  don’t  fill  the  draw  with  

junk!  

 Our  morning  meeting  book  was  getting  dated,  with  no  information  on  preparing  for  your  own  

meeting.    

We  have  added  how  to  prepare  and  finish  a  

meeting,  even  added  our  logos  and  colour  to  make  

it  more  appealing!      

Hard  to  read  signs,  no  real  strong  visual  control.  

Now  we  have  strong  visual  coloured  signs,  

which  can  be  seen  from  all  over  our  factory.
