99DOTS Android ApplicationUser Guide

Install 99DOTS (Android only)

• Open the Google Play Store• Search for 99dots• Install and open the 99DOTS Android application• Log in using same username and password as 99DOTS web dashboard

View Current Patients Details

• Touch “Current Patients” to view the patients currently on treatment• Hierarchy and patient lists now can be toggled between viewing by Initiation and by Residence• The default view is by initiation for states with both ART, RNTCP rollouts and for ART rollout

states the default view is by residence.• The selected sort field will be displayed for each patient• The summary in the bottom changes based on the sort field

Edit Current Patients Details

• Touch “Current Patients” to view patients currently on treatment• Select the patient to edit• You can edit different information, like Basic Details, Medical Details, and even Close theCase after determining the treatment outcome

Search Case- Searching the cases by ID

Enter the Case ID which you want to see.

Registering Patients

• Not all logins will have the ability to register new patients• In the home screen click the “Add Case” menu to register a new patient.• Fill out all required fields

Add Patient Details

• When all the fields are completed, press “Add” to register the patient

Call Patient

• When viewing a patient, press the “Call” button in top-right corner• Select the number that you wish to call• The phone will automatically dial the patient’s phone number

Add/Remove Manual Doses

• Under patient adherence calendar, press ‘Add’ or ‘Remove’ to edit manual doses• Select dates for which to add or remove manual doses• Add an explanation for the action

• The adherence calendar will be updated to reflect the changes• Scroll down to view the patient notes• A new note is added every time the manual doses are changed

Add Test Results

• Touch “Current Patients” to view patients currently on treatment• Select the patient to edit• Select Test Results, select the + sign, select the test to add• Select ADD TEST RESULT. Fill in the test result details and then select ADD

View Summary

• Each list of Districts / TUs / Patients has a summary view that can be pulled up• Tap on the red area to reveal the summary• View summary graphs based on real-time data

Using the app: Adherence-Oriented Counseling

1. View a patient’s adherence calendar

2. If patient is present, show them their adherence history. Or use the app to call the patient.

3. Show or tell them where the adherence dropped off.

4. “What happened here? It’s important to take medicine every day.”

Add Staff Details – District Staff

• Touch “Staff Details” • Under the Staff option, press the + signTap on the red area to reveal the summary• Fill the form, select SMS configuration options and save the form

Add Staff Details – TU Staff

• Touch “Staff Details” • Under the TU option, select the TU name• Under the Staff option, press the + sign • Fill the form, select SMS configuration options, Choose All or Some patients to link

to this TU staff• To select patients to link, press “Edit Mapped Patients” and select the check box

against the name of the patient/s

Task List

• From the Home screen, press “Task Lists”• Select the type of task list: High Attention or End Date Passed• Based on the type of task selected, the list of patient is displayed

Training Materials

• From the Home screen, press “Training Materials”• Select the deployment type: RNTCP or ART• Select the type of training material: Video or Document

Training Materials

• Select the training material you wish to view• Select the language you want• A training video will open in YouTube• A training document will download to your phone

Counselling Materials

• Now, we have counselling materials tab in our app which has testimonial videos of patients and providers telling their experience about 99DOTS.

• The testimonials are available in many languages just choose the language which you want see or download.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Now, we have Roles and Responsibilities tab in our app which will illustrate the roles and the responsibilities of the person who is logging in. (It varies depends on the login-different roles and responsibilities are there for different staffs involved in the 99DOTS treatment cycle)

• The Roles and Responsibilities will pop up whenever a staff logins into the app. • If a staff is not interested in seeing the pop up all the time, they can disable it by clicking

the check box-”Don’t show this every time the app is launched” and click “OK”.
