1. IN ACCORDANCE WITH NEW JERSEY STATE LAW, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL CONTACT NEW JERSEY'S ONE CALL SYSTEM FOR A MARKOUT OF ALL
UNDERGROUND UTILITIES 72 HOURS PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT OF SITE CLEARING. CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR OBTAINING ALL LOCAL
PERMITS AND FEES. IN ADDITION, THE CONTRACTOR WILL BE REQUIRED TO OBTAIN THE SERVICES OF A PRIVATE UTILITY LOCATION FIRM TO
LOCATE AND MARKOUT/VERIFY ALL UNDERGROUND UTILITIES PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT OF ANY EXCAVATION.
2. ALL DEMOLITION ACTIVITIES ARE TO BE PERFORMED IN STRICT ADHERENCE TO ALL FEDERAL, STATE, AND LOCAL REGULATIONS.
3. CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE MEANS AND METHODS OF DEMOLITION PRIOR TO DEMOLITION. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL
PROVIDE SUCH PROTECTIVE MEASURES AS REQUIRED BY OSHA AND ANY AGENCY HAVING JURISDICTION, SUCH AS, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, SAFETY
AND SECURITY MEASURES, SHEETING, SHORING BRACING, PERIMETER FENCING AND RAIL GUARDS, ROADWAY SAFETY SIGNAGE TO PROTECT
AND PREVENT UNDERMINING OF EXISTING STRUCTURES TO REMAIN, AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO EXISTING STREETS, CURBS, UTILITIES, ETC., AS
WELL AS PROTECT THE GENERAL PUBLIC.
4. CONDUCT ALL DEMOLITION ACTIVITIES IN A MANNER THAT WILL PREVENT DAMAGE TO ADJACENT STRUCTURES AND BUILDINGS AND PERSONAL
INJURY TO OTHERS.
5. NO BLASTING OR USE OF EXPLOSIVES IS PERMITTED.
6. CONDUCT ALL DEMOLITION ACTIVITIES IN MANNER TO ENSURE MINIMUM INTERFERENCE WITH ROADS, STREETS, WALKS AND OTHER ADJACENT
FACILITIES. DO NOT CLOSE OR OBSTRUCT STREETS, DRIVEWAYS, WALKS, OR OTHER OCCUPIED FACILITIES WITHOUT PRIOR WRITTEN
PERMISSION FROM THE OWNER AND APPLICABLE LOCAL AUTHORITIES.
7. USE SPRINKLING, TEMPORARY ENCLOSURES AND OTHER SUITABLE METHODS, AS NECESSARY TO LIMIT THE AMOUNT OF DUST AND DIRT FROM
SCATTERING INTO THE AIR. CLEAN ADJACENT STRUCTURES OF DUST AND DEBRIS CAUSED BY THE DEMOLITION ACTIVITIES.
8. CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR FIELD VERIFYING ALL EXISTING CONDITIONS INCLUDING UTILITIES. ALL DISCREPANCIES SHALL BE IDENTIFIED
TO THE PROJECT ENGINEER IN WRITING.
9. ALL DEMOLITION DEBRIS IS REQUIRED TO BE REMOVED BY THE CONTRACTOR IN ACCORDANCE WITH ALL APPLICABLE REGULATIONS.
10. THE ENGINEER IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CONTRACTOR'S MEANS AND METHODS OF THE SITE DEMOLITION.
11. ALL SOIL EROSION, SEDIMENT CONTROL SHALL BE IN PLACE PRIOR TO ANY MAJOR SITE DISTURBANCE. CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY THE SOIL
CONSERVATION DISTRICT 72 HOURS IN ADVANCE OF ANY SOIL DISTURBANCE OR EXCAVATION ACTIVITY. COPY OF NOTIFICATION IN WRITING TO
BE SENT TO THE OWNER AND ENGINEER.
12. ALL PEDESTRIAN AND VEHICULAR AREAS SURROUNDING THE SITE SHALL BE MAINTAINED DURING DEMOLITION ACTIVITIES.
13. ALL SITE IMPROVEMENTS OUTSIDE THE PROJECT LIMIT ARE TO BE PROTECTED. IF DAMAGED, THEY ARE TO BE REPLACED BY THE CONTRACTOR
AT NO COST TO THE OWNER. THESE SHALL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO SIDEWALKS, CURB, LANDSCAPING, LAWN AREAS TREES, FENCES,
ROADS, ETC.
14. OWNER, CONTRACTOR, ENGINEER, ARCHITECT, AND ANY OTHER PARTIES ASSOCIATED WITH THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE PROJECT SHALL
ATTEND A PRE-CONSTRUCTION CONFERENCE.
15. DOCUMENTATION REGARDING THE CONDITION OF THE EXISTING PARKING AREA AND DRIVEWAY AND LANDSCAPING SHALL BE PROVIDED BY THE
CONTRACTOR.
16. THE BEGINNING OF DEMOLITION MEANS THE CONTRACTOR ACCEPTS THE EXISTING CONDITIONS.
17. THE CONTRACTOR MUST APPLY FOR AND OBTAIN LOCAL CONSTRUCTION PERMITS FROM THE TOWNSHIP.
18. CONTRACTOR TO CAP SANITARY SEWER LATERAL AND WATER SERVICE CONNECTION AT THE PROPERTY LINE. UTILITIES ON-SITE TO BE
REMOVED IN STRICT ADHERENCE TO ALL FEDERAL, STATE, AND LOCAL REGULATIONS.
19. CONTRACTOR TO MAINTAIN PEDESTRIAN AREAS TO PUBLIC SIDEWALKS DURING DEMOLITION AND CONSTRUCTION AT ALL TIMES. TEMPORARY
SIDEWALK CLOSURES MUST BE COORDINATED WITH THE BOROUGH ENGINEER AND EMERGENCY RESPONDERS. A PLAN TO DIVERT PEDESTRIAN
TRAFFIC MUST BE APPROVED PRIOR TO WORK ON PUBLIC SIDEWALKS.
20. IN THE EVENT TRAFFIC IS TO BE DIVERTED FOR ANY REASON, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PREPARE A TRAFFIC DIVERSION PLAN WHICH SHALL BE
