PRINCIPAL’S REPORT
LATE ARRIVALS
As the weather has become colder it is noticeable that a number of students are arriving late to school. The school rolls and attendance patterns are checked on a regular basis by the Home School Liaison Officer. Please ensure that children arrive at school before 9.00 am. Teaching commences as soon as children enter the room at 9.00 am and valuable learning maybe be missed if children are late to school.
UNIFORMS
As winter approaches a number of students are wearing inappropriate jumpers and sloppy joes. Please ensure that the school uniform continues to be worn on all occasions. If it is necessary to be out of uniform please send a message to the class teacher stating why your child is out of uniform. Please ensure all clothing is labelled so that they can be returned to their owner.
CONGRATULATIONS
Congratulations to the students (Mesam and Hana) who will run in the Regional Cross Country next week. They were both well placed in the zone event. Good luck next Wednesday.
MEDICATION REMINDER
Please remember that the school is unable to administer any medication that is not prescribed by a doctor. If your child requires prescription medication please see the office staff to complete the appropriate forms. Parents have a responsibility to ensure a sufficient supply of up to date medication and any ‘consumables’ necessary for its administration.

ZONE CROSS COUNTRY NEWS
Mr Sadler and Miss Nguyen accompanied our Cross Country team to the Merrylands/Parramatta Zone Carnival last week. Both reported that our students participated enthusiastically and showed exemplary behaviour. Hana R (8th) and Mesam R (6th) ran brilliantly and will now represent at the Sydney West Regional/Area Carnival on 20th June. Melek A (9th) and Hassan M (9th) have qualified for reserves for their respective events.
PARRAMATTA CUP
RUGBY LEAGUE - BOYS Our Senior (12yrs) and Junior (10yrs) Rugby League teams, supervised by Mr Douglas and Mrs Douglas, played in the Southern section of the Parramatta Cup two weeks ago. They were successful in winning their divisions, undefeated, over 4 and 5 matches respectively. On the 20th June they will face the first placegetters of the Northern section to decide which teams will qualify for the N.S.W All Schools carnival in Term 3. Times and a venue have yet to be decided but the games will probably be played at Guildford Leagues around 4:00-6:00pm.
