• Use your Deconstructed Standards, 4.OA.2, to find more examples of contextual problems and to see what students should be able to do.

• Use Reteach 2.2 Go Math

• Continue to practice using the Bar Model strategy with contextual problems – review with division problems as well.

• Use Enrich 2.2 Go Math and have groups of students work together on one problem –collaborate, solve, present their problem to the class

DATA AN ALYS IS – ILLU M IN ATE RES U LTS REEN GAGEMENT (4 .OA.3 )

• Use your PODs or Building Fluency through Word Problems powerpoints in the planners

• Find problems from Getting Ready for SBAC, Standard 4OA.3 questions

• Use your Deconstructed Standards, 4.OA.3, or Common Core Companions to find more examples of contextual problems and to see what students should be able to do.

• Use Reteach 3.7, 4.3 in Go Math

• Continue to practice using the Bar Model strategy with contextual problems – review with division problems as well, including division with remainders.

• Use Enrich 3.7, 4.3 in Go Math and have groups of students work together on one problem –collaborate, solve, present their problem to the class

4.OA.3 Solve multistep word problems posed with whole numbers and

having whole-number answers using the four operations, including

problems in which remainders must be interpreted. Represent these

problems using equations with a letter standing for the unknown quantity.

Assess the reasonableness of answers using mental computation and

estimation strategies including rounding.
