Cuboid : It is a rectangular solid.

Lateral Surface Area = 2(l+b)h

Total Surface Area = 2(lb + bh + lh)

Volume = lbh

Mean diagonal = √

Explanation:

Lateral surface area

= Sum of areas of lateral surfaces i.e. excluding the top and bottom of the box (cuboid)

= Area of (ABDC + BDHF + FHGE + GEAC)

= (lh + bh + lh + bh)

= 2lh + 2bh = 2h(l+b)

Total surface area

= Sum of areas of all sides including the areas of top and bottom portions

= Lateral surface area + Areas of (top +Bottom)

= LSA + Areas of (ABFE + CDHF)

= LSA + lb + lb = 2lh + 2bh + 2bl = 2(lb + bh + lh)

Similarly, calculate the areas of other figures like cube, etc.
