On the front page of this newsletter, there

is an article about some hidden talent we

discovered. Our Watermark University is

always looking for new faculty members to share their special

hidden talents and also teach us about them as well. This

month, we are happy to welcome Elaine L. with a new art

program. Participants can dabble in many different

methodologies of art depending on their artistic ability and

level of interest. Check calendars for date & time.

Passports To The World

Passports to the World is an interesting and educational program

held bi-monthly at the Town Center. Presenter Stuart Liss keeps his

audience amused and enlightened during his presentations. In

March, tying into our Irish theme for the month, his presentation

was on "All Things Irish" and explored facts, legends and more

about the culture and heritage. This month, Stuart will bring his

knowledge and personal experience of his visit to Israel

highlighting with discussion and pictures the Wailing Wall and other

important attractions of the country.Mark your calendars for 5/3 at

3:15.

MAY 2019

Town Center

Last years Casino Day at the

Town Center was loads of fun!

Between the gambling (for

fun), shrimp cocktails,

Atlantic City boardwalk

caramel corn, cocktails, bunny

waitresses and giveaways,

everyone seemed to have a

great time. The event was co-hosted by Sarah from Senior Helpers

who provided our entertainer and the classic shrimp cocktails which

added a bit of Vegas to our theme. Joe Catando and partner played

some classic rat pack and casino songs while the folks played

Blackjack, Poker, Roulette and some slots. Towards the end there

were some lucky tickets drawn for prizes. What a great day!

On May 13th we will be having with all of the above. Hope to see

you there!

Path to Well-Being

Many of you are familiar with Steve B., pictured on the left. Steve shares his

many talents of music and spirituality with our residents here at the Town

Center, Inn and at the Gardens. Steve plays guitar every Friday night in our

parlor, every Thursday morning at the Inn and also once a month at our

Gardens neighborhood. Steve also has a grief share program that he holds

on Saturday afternoons on the 3rd floor. On this particular day, I happened

to be passing by our Library and heard some piano music playing. It seems

we have another musically talented resident here. Dave K. who plays a

mean piano concerto! Maybe we can convince him to join our

entertainment calendar? If you have a special talent that you would like us

to know about, contact Sue or Anna so that you can share your talents with

all of us!
