Miraflex was established in the late '80s with the aim of developing the most suitable children’s framesensuring, for every age group from newborn to teenagers, the best mix between safety, quality, functionalityand aesthetics. Miraflex with the great experience gained in these years can offer a great range of frames

designed by specialists consisting with the requirements and recommendations of eye care professionals suchas ophthalmologists, orthoptists, opticians and optometrists. The children’s frame shall correct the vision defect

and allow the right development of visual acuity without impeding its daily activities.

A child’s frame is not just a scaled down adult frame (Children’s facial cranial measurements are completely different) and therefore shall be developed in accordance with stringent criteria.

Materials: with the age of the children. For small children, up to 5 or 6 years, light, soft, pliable materials with no metal or assembled parts,

and for the older kids acetate, nylon, TR-90 etc., however metal frames are not recommended for children.

Size & Shapemind the facial-cranial measurements of the children in the different age groups to achieve

an optimum centred adjustment to the child’s face.

Nose Bridge: The child’s nose crest develops as the child grows and it has measurements similar to the one of an adult around 13 years. Almost 90 % of the glasses weight rests on the patients nose and therefore

so that the optician/optometrist may select the most appropriate frame.

Safety: Safety for babies and young children is the most important feature to take into consideration by the parents.

Miraflex frames have a bridge anatomically designed to distribute the corrective lens and frame weight over a larger surface,

increasing wearer comfort. A collection with a special nose bridge for children

with small nose bone has been developed together with a new generation of Flexible&Safe frames.

Unique light, flexible and malleable materials and a large number of sizes and shapes make possible to optimise the adjustment

of the frame to the face of the child to allow early correction of refractive errors and strabismus treatments.

A special adjustable and electronically welded elastic head band keeps the frame snug and centred to allow optimal optical correction

and perfect occlusion treatment.

These frames have received appreciation and awards from ophthalmologists, orthoptists, optometrists and at

international exhibitions. These frames are fully compliant with the Consensus Statement made by

the World Society of Paediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus (WSPOS) for spectacle frames for children.

Trial Frame

Miraflex Trial frame is based on a chassis with the same characteristics of the Flexible & Safe collection, and a mechanism that will make possible

to define the astigmatism axis.

It is light and comfortable and it is the right solution for solving children’s refraction problems.

It fits the children’s facial cranial measurements.

Thanks to the adjustable elastic band, the frame remains well centered on the patient’s face.

This will allow to make a full vision test.

The lens holding rings accept up to three standard 38 mm lenses.

Miraflex Sport Vista frames have been developed in accordance with Directive 93/42 and satisfy the tests of the ISO 12870:2012.

The Miraflex Sport Vista frames meet the U.S. ASTM F803-11 standard to protect the eyes while practicing sports such as Tennis, Squash, Baseball.

It is not suitable for sports like Hockey or Golf.

Should only be used with polycarbonate lenses with a minimum thickness of 2mm.

The corrective lenses must have a power between +6 and -6 D.

NOTE: Nose, lateral protections and bands are also available as a replacement.

Warning: Miraflex Sport Vista frames do not totally eliminate the risk of injury, in any case they will minimize or significantly reduce such

possibility.

Blinx are collectable soft rubber charms for use on the arms of Miraflex frames.

Blinx simply slide on and off the temple,

allowing to change the colour and style of the glasses as often as you wish.

Blinx are made of soft silicon rubber and fit approximately 85% of all children’s glasses.

Simply slide charm on/offspectacle arms up to 8mm

For thicker arms, attachusing the enclosed rubber

band, as shown below.
