The Andréa Rizzo Foundation funds Dréa’s Dream pediatric dance therapy programming in memory of a lifelong dancer, special education teacher and childhood cancer survivor who was killed by a drunk driver at age 24. Knowing the impact that dance had on her own healing, Andréa’s dream was to help children with cancer and special needs through her love of dance!
The Andréa Rizzo Foundation raises funds to provide Dance/Movement Therapy (DMT) in renowned hospitals, special education classrooms, Ronald McDonald Houses and medical settings throughout the country.
The Andréa Rizzo Foundationin the nation that solely funds Dance/Movement Therapy for fragile children.

The Dance Minor at PSU prepares studentsfor many possibilities including:
• managing or owning a dance studio
• coaching a middle school, high school or collegiate dance team
• teaching various styles and levels of dance
• applying technical and other professional skills, such as lighting, sound, etc., in a performance setting
• continuing dance skill development, and more!
Numerous performance opportunities are available throughout the year.
