The basic principle of a hot wire anemometer is to place a thin metal wire in a fluid, and heat the metal wire ( hot wire) by
current to make it temperature higher than the temperature of the fluid, when the fluid flows in vertical direction through
the wire, a part of the heat of the wire is taken away, and make the temperature of the wire is lowered.
The heat dissipated in the airflow is related to the flow rate. The heat dissipation causes the temperature of the hot wire
to change, causing a change in resistance, the flow rate signal to be converted into an electrical signal.
