Through CarePortal child welfare workers uncover the needs of a family. CarePortal makes local churches aware, giving them a real-time opportunity to respond. Children impacted 1159 // Families Impacted 452 // All by 51churches – imagine if more churches were enrolled! Today at the Governor’s Prayer breakfast Governor Ducey spoke about the CarePortal. He will tell you straight out -- the state does not make a good parent! One of my favorite CarePortal stories was when a family was helped by a church and they learned what the parent really needed was employment. My good friend Jim Welter founder of Impact Phoenix was able to make the job connection for them – which is what they really needed.
