About us As an initiative, The Association for Education Mladiinfo International promotes and mediates the communication between young people, students, professors, researchers, university officials, youth NGOs and all those involved in the educational process in Europe and worldwide. Dedicated to youth, their problems and needs from the very beginning, Mladiinfo undertook numerous activities promoting and enhancing free education, communication, media and journalism etc. These projects involve activities for promoting cooperation between universities on national and international level as well as providing support for various exchange activities and work experience possibilities for youth. Moreover, Mladiinfo International through its activities has always been aiming to offer a platform for youth facilitating their efforts for exchanging ideas and experience.

Our Mission To empower young people in particular those challenged by educational disadvantages to boost their leadership and entrepreneurial potential by providing them with programmes and educational information. Our Vision To aid respective young individuals in developing personally and professionally so they can become more active agents in the society and thus transform it.

Youth Empowerment Project Title: Youth Bank Hub for Western Balkan and Turkey

Description: Thewaysofensuringagreaterinvolvementofyoungpeopleinimportantdecision-makingprocessesinthecommunityisthekeyissueofregionalprojectYouthBanksHunforWesternBalkansandTurkey,whichwillbecarriedoutinSerbia,Montenegro,Albania,MacedoniaandTurkeyoverthenextfouryears.Whattherefivecountrieshaveincommon,apartfrombeingcandidatesforEUmembership,isalowpercentageofyouthinvolvementinimportantdecision-makingprocessesinthecommunityandthefactthatthecurrentpublicpoliciesaffectingyoutharenotdirectedatencouragingtheirinvolvement.Theregionalaffiliationandthesimilarpositionofyoungpeoplemadeitonlylogicaltosetupanetworkofyouthorganizationwhichwillfighttogethertoachieveabetterpositionforyouthinthepubliclikeoftheirrespectivecountries. Objectives of the Project Themainlong-termobjectivesofthisprojectistoanimateyoungpeopletobecomeacquaintedwiththeopportunitiesingettinginvolvedinpubliclifeandencouragetheirinvolvement,whilstmotivatingthedecision-makingtoopenroomforinvolvementofyouthpeople.Bycontinuouslymonitoringthelevelofyouthinvolvementindecisionmaking,andinformingthepublicaboutit,theyouthorganizationsthatarepartofthisprojectwillbecomearelevantsourceofinformationonthepositionofyoungpeopleintheircountries.Throughpublicadvocacycampaigns,thisnetworkoforganizationswillexertinfluenceondecisionmakerstocreateconditionsforinvolvingyouthpeopleinthedecision-makingprocess.Involvingotheryouthorganizationsinprojectsactivitieswillcreateastrongregionalnetworkoforganizationsthatactivelyadvocatechangesinyouthpoliciesintheircountries.

Social Entrepreneurship Project Title:Social Impact AwardDescription: TheSocialImpactAwardisanideacompetitionforstudentsthatwanttoinitiatesocialorenvironmentalchangeinaconstructiveway.ItsmissionistopromotetheknowledgeandpracticeofsocialentrepreneurshipamongstudentsinEurope.SocialEntrepreneurshipinourviewdescribescreative,entrepreneurialaction,focusedonasocialorenvironmentalissue.TheInstituteforEntrepreneurshipandInnovationattheViennaUniversityofEconomicsandBusinessfoundedtheSocialImpactAwardin2009andiscoordinatedbyImpactHubViennawithlocalpartnersinCzechRepublic,Slovakia,Romania,Croatia,Greece,Russia,Macedonia,Serbia,SwitzerlandandAustria.Itoffersallparticipantsafreeworkshop-seriesforsupportingthebirthofprojectideas,knowledgeresourcesandanopportunitytogetintouchwithlocalsocialentrepreneurshipcommunity.Winnersfurtherreceiveascholarshipandongoingsupport.InMacedonia,therewillbeatotalof4winningprojects,threevotedbyexpertjudgesandonevotedbycommunity.

Theawardaddressesstudentseagertotrytosolvecurrentsocial/environmentalproblemsinaninnovativewaybyfoundingprojects,initiatives,ororganizations.Theprojectscanberootedindifferentfields,suchaspovertyreduction,health,education,environment,energy,informationandcommunicationtechnologies,humanrights,equalopportunities,care,andmanyothers.Submittedprojectscanbeorganizedaspartofcivilsociety(NGO,NPO,association,initiatives)aswellasintheprivatesectorassocialbusiness:whetheramobilesoupkitchenforhomelesspeople,aneweducationalconcept,awebsitetomobilizetheneighborhood,anewfundraisingidea,orsomethingtotallynew–theimportantthingisthatprojectspursueasocial/environmentalgoal.

Thisyear-roundeducationalprogramonsocialentrepreneurshipdedicatedtostudentsisbasedonfourprinciples:Education Supportparticipantstodevelopnewsocialventureconcepts.In2016,weran182workshopsfor4.600+participantsin58citiesacross10countries.In2017,newcountrieswilljointheprogramandfurtherextendthereachourworkshopshave.Community Connectparticipantswithaninternationalcommunityofentrepreneurs,peersandexperts.Expertjuriesineachcountryevaluateideasandgivefeedbacktoallprojectssubmitted.Moreover,throughthecommunityvoting,in2016over17.000individualvotesweregiventothe93incubatedideas.Awareness Aidthedevelopmentofentrepreneurialskillsthroughinspirationandexposuretothefield.In2016,500studentteamsdeveloped&grewinnovativesocialbusinessideas.Ourpastimpactsurveyshowsthat60%ofprojectssubmittedhavebeenimplementedand35%aregeneratingrevenues.

Support Supportthebestteamswithfinancialcapitalandactivesupportthroughouttheyear.Thebest35projectsfrom2016willreceiveatotalof68.400€assummerstipends/seedfunding,fullmembershipintheImpactHubNetworkandarepartofathreemonthsintensiveincubationprocess.

Chapter 1: Personal Development: What do you love doing? Inthefirstchapter,wegiveoverviewofparticipants’personalityandhowitcouldinfluencetheircareerchoice.Inthethreechapterunits,theywillidentifywhatpersonalvaluestheyappreciatethemostandhowthesevaluesinfluencetheirchoices.Also,theyareguidedtodiscovertheirpersonalitytypeandhaveachancetotestthemselvesandfindoutwhichpersonalitytypetheybelongtoandhowtheycanconnectittotheirpotentialcareer.

Chapter 2: Professional Development: What do you do well? Oncetheyhavediscoveredwhotheyactuallyareandwhattheylovedoing,itistimetoseewhatkindofcareerwillfittheirpersonalityandinterests.Somanytrends,reports,andstatisticsshownew,undiscoveredwaysofworkingandimaginingtheirjobofthefuture.

Butnothingwillevermakesenseunlesstheygettoknowtheirprofessionalselfandmakechoicesbasedontheirskills,needs,andcapacities.Inthischapter,theyareabletowalkthethinlinebetweenself-discoveryandself-creation,whilearticulatingtheirexperienceandskillsintoasuccessfulcareerplan.

Chapter 3: Community Development: What is the community around you? IntheCommunityDevelopmentchapter,wehelptheparticipantstodiscoverwhatandhowtheempowered“YOU”candofortheircommunity,fortheirpeers,fortheirneighbors.Inthischapter,weshowthewaysinwhichtheycanmakeanimpact:asanindividual,aspartofanon-formalgroup,andasamemberofanorganization.Attheendofthechapter,theyareabletoidentifyaprojectidea,draftabasicproposalandfindasuitableProgrammewheretheycanapplyforaprojectgrantfortheiridea.Butfirstandforemost,theyareinspiredtotakethecommunityintheirhandsandmovethethingsforward!

Chapter 4: Sustainable Development: What the world needs? Inthelastchapter,wetakeastepback.Whatisthebigpicture?Whatarethechallengesintheworldtoday?WespeakaboutSustainableDevelopmentGoalsanddiscoverwayshowparticipantscanexpandtheircircleofinfluence.Wefinishthecoursewiththreeelementsofsustainabledevelopment–economic,socialandenvironmental.Wewantedtomotivateparticipantstotakepersonalsocialresponsibilityfortheirsurroundingandforthewholeworld.

Innowadaysglobalizedworldtherearestillmanyyoungpeople,whofailtoobtainpropereducationduetomanyofreasons:infrastructure,institutionalbarriers,economicobstacles,disability,takingcareforhousehold,soonandsoforth.That’swhymYouthprojectisheretohelp!

mYouthbringsmLearningclosertoyouthbycreatingafreeaccesstoeducationforeveryone.Thereforeasapartoftheprojectthemobileapplicationshavebeendevelopedaimingtosolveaprobleminthecommunityandthereby,makeanimpact.Eachofparticipatingcountriesattheprojectconductednationalcodingcamp,fromwhichhundredsofyouthsdirectlybenefitedinimprovingtheirdigitalskills.Thelocaleventswereusuallytakentheformatofup-to-three-dayscompetitioncodecamps,whereatleast20youngsterspercountry,werecompetinganddevelopingmobileandroidapps.ThewinnersoflocalcampswereinvitedtoattendthemYouthspecialtrainingthattookplaceinMacedonia,from20

June–14July2016.ThetrainingwasfocusedonAndroidMobileApplications&BusinessModelDevelopmentandbroughtyoungentrepreneursfromdifferentcountriestogethertodeveloptheskillsneededtocreateandimplementmobilelearningopportunities.Morethan20mobileappsweredevelopedthroughtheLocalMobileAppCodeCamps.Withallthebrilliantideasformobileapplications,thiswasthechanceandgetawayforallparticipantstoembarkonaspecialjourney,whereasideworkingonmobileappideas,theyalsoenteredavibrantnetworktopitchtheideas,andalsowererewardedfortheirdigitalproductataworldlevel.ThebestproducedmobileappsgotthechancetocompetefortheEuropeanYouthSummitAward,apan-Europeancontestestablishedformotivationofyoungpeople,developmentofsocialentrepreneurshipandstart-upstoproducedigitalprojectswithimpactonsocietyandfortheWorldSummitYouthAward-auniqueglobalcontestwhichbringstogetheryoungdevelopersanddigitalentrepreneurs–under30yearsofage–whousetheinternetandmobiletechnologytoputtheUNSustainableDevelopmentGoals(SDGs)intoactionsandmakeadifference!

Solidarity and Media Project Title: Celebrating Solidarity

Description: TheAnaandVladeDivacFoundation,withthesupportof„EuropeforCitizensProgramme“oftheEuropeanUnion,on1October2016startedtheproject„CelebratingSolidarity“.Throughthisproject,thefoundationtogetherwithitspartnersfromBulgaria,Albania,Macedonia,PolandandHungarywillaimatpromotingphilanthropyandexamplesofsolidarity.AtthefirstmeetingheldatthebeginningofOctober,thefoundationgatheredallthepartners,thusstartingtheprojectwiththeaimofpromotinggoodpracticeexamples,especiallyintimeofcrisisandothermisfortunes.

Weallhaveturbulenthistoryoffacingcrisis,bothman-made(political,social,armedconflicts,etc.),aswellasthenaturaldisasters(suchasearthquakes,floods,etc.).Thisprojectwillexplorethevarietyofturbulenttimesthosecountiesandtheircitizens

Project Title: You(th) Challenging Diversity: Representation of Minorities in the New Media Description: TheprojectYou(th)ChallengingDiversity:RepresentationofMinoritiesintheNewMediahasbeendevelopedasaspaceforyoungpeopletodiscussandanalyzethewaysofobjectivereportingondifferentminoritiesinnewmediaaswellashowtobuildgoodmulticulturalpracticesinthemediabypresentingexamplesofcooperationandliving-together.TheinnovativeresearchonhowminoritiesareportrayedinthenewmediawasconductedinBulgaria,F.Y.R.ofMacedonia,CroatiaandGreece.Inaperiodoftwomonths,ateamofyoungresearcherswascarefullymonitoringfourexclusivelyonlinemediapercountryandafterwards the research experts analyzed the outcomes. It gives comparative insight ofprofessionalstandardsinthenewmediapractices. TheFinalReportontheRepresentationoftheMinoritiesintheNewMediaisavailablefordownloadHERE.Thefindingsfromtheresearchonnewmediaandminoritieswerepresentedatfoureventstakingplaceineachoftheparticipatingcountries(Croatia,Greece,BulgariaandMacedonia).Youthforumscreatedtheopendiscussionsonnewmedia,stereotyping,multiculturalpracticesonlinethroughpresentations,paneldiscussionsandworkshopsofexperts,mediaprofessionals,localrepresentativesandparticipants.

TheforthYouthforum,thattookplaceon3rdand4thMarchinSkopje,Macedonialedameaningfuldiscussiononbenefits,challenges,positivestoriesaswellasstereotypesthatnewmediabringincontextofdiversity.Besidestheparticipantsfrompartners’countries,withtheassistancebytheCEICooperationFund,MladiinfoInternationalwasabletobringadditional26peopletotheforum.Assuch,fiftyyoungpeopleaged18–35from14countriesoftheCentralandEasternEuropeinfourdiscussionpanelstheywereabletodelivertheirthoughts,researchandperspectivesonthemattersofethnicminorities,sexualandgenderminorities,refugeecrisis,asylumseekers,withdisabilitiesandmore.

Project Title: EVS Take Your Chance Description: TheprojectaimstohosttwoyoungmotivatedpeoplefromAustriaandCzechRepublictovolunteerintheMladiinfoInternational.Volunteers’mainactivitieswillbeupdatingandbringingnewcontenttotheweb-platformsoftheorganization.Inthiswaythemwillcontributetohelpingyoungpeoplefromallaroundtheworldwhoareinneedofasupporttofulfilltheireducationalpotential,astheyarechallengedbymanyeducationaldisadvantagescausedbyeitherpersonal,social,culturaloreconomiccircumstances.
