For the first time in 67 years, the ITE Midwestern DistrictAnnual Meeting will be held jointly with the ITE Western

District in Rapid City, SouthDakota. This meeting willrepresent nearly half of theUnited States (24 states),providing an opportunity for arobust and diverse technicalprogram, vendor exhibit andopportunity to network. Infour days, participants will

have to opportunity to gain a year’s worth of PDHs with 12

hours of technical sessions and other presentations. Substantialstudent events are planned including three traffic bowls, the KellCompetition and leadership sessions.

Rapid City is specialplace in America. Awalk down Main Streetwill put you face to facewith bronze sculpturesof each of the 44presidents of the UnitedStates. The City of President’s is best

known for being 25 miles from Mt. Rushmore, but there are twonational parks and two national monuments also within about atwo hour drive (Badlands National Park, Wind Cave NationalPark, Jewel Cave National Monument and Devil’s TowerNational Monument) as well as the Crazy Horse Memorial.Rapid City has free Summers Night concerts downtown everyThursday and a 4th of July Parade. There are historic 1880’srailroads, waterparks, reptile gardens, mammoth paleontologicalsites, Sturgis (site of the famous motorcycle rally 30 milesnorthwest) and Wall Drug (50 miles east). The meeting will be held atthe Rapid City ConventionCenter, adjacent to theHoliday Inn RushmorePlaza which will serve asthe conferenceheadquarters. Earlyregistration is anticipatedto be $375 and hotel room

rates will be $140 per night with registration opening as early asNovember 2013 to help you plan your travel and approvals inadvance.
