Airspace Protection• Obstructions in vicinity of airport may limit operations.• Objects up to 15 km away can cause problems for pilots• OLS prescribed by CASA, MOS 139 – ref surfaces, define when objects considered as obstacles and

assessed for impact on aircraft ops.• PANS - OPS – instrument procedures, guaranteed

minimum clearance above any obstacle – cannot beinfringed.
