CIMA – Cordillera Azul strives to protect the
biodiversity of Peru through conducting
research and implementing conservation
schemes

« Reduce the impact, not the speed » operation aims to
collect et recycle all the PET bottles in Dakar areas
to transform them into blankets for people who live in
the coldest parts of the country
"Green Points" will be set up in each bivouac to collect and
process all the hazardous waste and a dedicated truck :
over 100 tonnes of waste collected
The Dakar helps to collect and recycle all the waste produced in bivouacs and
spectator areas
