WORSHIP TODAY

Welcome

CALL TO WORSHIPWorship the LORD with gladness; come before

him with joyful songs. Know that the LORD is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and praise his name. For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.

PRAYER OF APPROACH

207- Hallelujah! sing to Jesus,  His the sceptre, His the throne;

Hallelujah! His the triumph,  His the victory alone.

Hark, the songs of peaceful Zion  Thunder like a mighty flood:

Jesus out of every nation  Hath redeemed us by His blood

Hallelujah! not as orphans  Are we left in sorrow now;Hallelujah! He is near us,

  Faith believes, nor questions how.Though the clouds from sight received

Him  When the forty days were o’er,

Shall our hearts forget His promise,  “I am with you evermore” ?

Hallelujah! Bread of heaven,  Thou on earth our food, our stay;Hallelujah! here the sinful flee to

Thee from day to day.Intercessor, friends of sinners

 earth’s Redeemer plead for me,where the songs of all the sinless

sweep across the crystal sea

Hallelujah! Halleujah!Glory be to God on high;

to the Father, and the Saviour,who has gained the victory;

glory to the Holy Spirit,fount of love and sanctity.

Hallelujah! Hallelujah!To the trine Majesty

Bible Reading

Deuteronomy 8:1-5

16- All my hope on God is foundedall my trust He shall renew,He, my guide through change order,only good and only true.God unknown, He alonecalls my heart to be his own.

Pride of man and earthly glory,sword and crown betray his trust;all that human toil can fashiontower and temple fall to dust.But God's power,hour by hour,is my temple and my tower

Offerings

22 - All the way my Saviour led me

What have I to ask beside?Can I doubt His tender mercy,Who through life has been my Guide?Heavenly peace, divinest comfort,Here by faith in Him to dwell!For I know, whate’er befall me,Jesus doeth all things well;For I know, whate’er befall me,Jesus doeth all things well.

All the way my Savior leads me,Cheers each winding path I tread,Gives me grace for every trial,Feeds me with the living Bread.Though my weary steps may falterAnd my soul athirst may be,Gushing from the Rock before me,Lo! A spring of joy I see;Gushing from the Rock before me,Lo! A spring of joy I see.

All the way my Saviour led me

Oh, the fullness of His love!Perfect rest to me is promisedIn my Father’s house above.When my spirit, clothed immortal,Wings its flight to realms of dayThis my song through endless ages:Jesus led me all the way;This my song through endless ages:Jesus led me all the way.

Known God The Father

Who Disciplines

God- the Father who carries his children, in whom we can trust (Deut 1:30-31)

God- the Father who disciplines his children, in whom we recognise His true love (Deut 8:2-5)

God- the Father who pities his children, to whom we are grateful (Psalm 103:8-14).

God- the Father who adopts us in whom we have redemption, forgiveness of sins and

eternal security (Psalm 68:4-6).

Remember how the LORD your God led you all the way in the wilderness these forty years, to

humble and test ... Know then in your heart that as a

man disciplines his son, so the LORD your God

disciplines you.” (Deut 8:1-5).

Here is God, our Loving Father who disciplines us, for our benefit and learning. We would be

wise if we recognize His love that motivates it.

133Father, I place into your handsThe things I cannot do,Father, I place into your handsThe things that I've been throughFather, I place into your handsThe way that I should go,For I know I always can trust you.

Father, I place into your handsMy friends and family.Father, I place into your handsThe things that trouble me.Father, I place into your handsThe person I would be,For I know I always can trust you.

Father, we love to see your face,We love to hear your voice.Father, we love to sing your praise; And in your name rejoiceFather, we love to walk with youAnd in your presence rest, For we know we always can trust you.

Father, I want to be with youAnd do the things you do.Father, I want to speak the words That you are speaking too.Father, I want to love the onesThat you will draw to you,For I know that I am one with you
