Static Takeoff Check.
1) Align aircraft with runway centerline and ensure nose wheel is straight.2) Apply brakes.3) Position flight controls for existing wind conditions and set flaps.4) Advance throttles smoothly to 20” manifold pressure.5) Check engine instruments for normal indications.6) Release brakes.

Takeoff roll and rotation.
1) Maintain directional control with rudder pedals and crosswind control with appropriate aileron deflection.
2) Upon reaching rotation speed, 75 knots, increase back elevator pressure to establish the lift-off altitude and allow the aircraft to fly off the ground.
3) Apply adequate drift correction to maintain runway centerline.
