What Is A Trade Facilitation System?

The UN Centre for Trade Facilitation and Electronic Business (UN-CEFACT) defines a Single Window (SW) trade portal as

“a facility that allows parties involved in international trade and transport to lodge standardized information and documents with a single point to fulfill all import, export, and transit-related regulatory requirements” (United Nations Economic Commission for Europe UNECE, 2005, p. 3).
