Cross on a plinth and edging. The birth of Ina Frances Esther Maydwell was registered 1884/Q4 Bandon, Ireland. From The Cork Constitution of Thu 13 Nov 1884:
MAY-DWELL.On the 11th November, 1884, at Upton House, county Cork, the wife of Lieutenant-Colonel May-dwell, late Duke of Cornwall’s Light Infantry, of a daughter.
There are references in many newspapers in 1890 to Colonel Maydwell who, when inspecting the ship Etruria at Queenstown (Cobh), was carried off the New York. In an article he is described as ‘of the Cork Garrison’.

Plaque in the form of an open books on two supports these on a base with an integral vase. All in grey polished granite. A white vase and an urn. According to the burial index and the GRO death registration ‘Eliza Jane Wallis’ died in 1935 rather than 1932 on the memorial.
