Hitachi has been involved in research and development of the universal design concept for over twenty years and has been conducting universal design elementary education outreach programs at schools in Japan for the past five years.  The Design and Industry Department of San Francisco State University has provided great assistance to Hitachi in identifying appropriate methods on how the universal design program may be adapted for outreach programs for US schools. In conjunction with the San Francisco State University, Hitachi is proud to present this Universal Design presentation for educational purposes only.
