Elementary SchoolELA Interventions

STAR Literacy Test is administered monthly in grades K-3● Teachers monitor data, identify growth, progress, and differentiate instruction based on results

Interventions: ● Title 1 Reading Program

○ Reading Specialists provide small group instruction to targeted students in need of support on specific skills.● Intervention Specialist Support (PreK, K, 1)

○ *New* Interventionist provides 1:1, 1:2, or small group instruction to students in PreK, Kindergarten, and 1st grade.○ Targets skill deficits identified in STAR reports, Title I input, teacher input.

● Student Assistance Team○ Team includes: teacher, counselor, administrator, parent○ Discuss and identify supports and accommodations needed to implement in order to help students reach success

within regular education classroom ● Ready Set Read

○ After school 1:1 tutoring program in conjunction with United Way○ Currently servicing 62 students (Grades 1-3)

By Utilizing our WIN (What I Need) periods, Title I Reading, and the CDT Diagnostic tool and the STAR Literacy Test, the IS/MS has crafted a flexible and responsive Remediation and Enrichment Plan to address areas of concern. This plan continues to be coupled with curricular enhancements in Math (enVision 2.0 Program) and curricular reviews in all areas. Over the course of three years, this plan has shown an overall increase in scores as well as an increase in cohorts surpassing state averages.

● PRIM Model in Grades 4-8 is being utilized as an intervention● Review of Special Education Programming ● Twice per cycle Homework Help● CDT Test: Grades 6-8 are administered this test bi-annually in ELA● STAR Literacy Test: Grades 4-5 are administered this test monthly in ELA● By utilizing WIN for Remediation and Enrichment students can receive an additional amount of instructional time in
