The obverse has: in the center — an ancient sculpture of Atlas holding planet Earth on his shoulders against a stylized image of the fragment of the solar system with a circumferential inscription in Latin therein: SYSTEMA SOLARE; at the top — the relief image of the State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Belarus and a circumferential inscription: ÐÝÑÏÓÁËIÊÀ ÁÅËÀÐÓÑÜ (THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS); on the left-hand side along the rim — the denomination: 10 ÐÓÁ˨¡ (10 RUBLES); and on the right-hand side along the rim — the year of issue, the alloy standard, and the trademark of the Mint of Poland PLC.

The reverse has: in the center — an image of planet Mercury produced by pad printing and beneath, on the right-hand side — the astronomical symbol for planet Mercury and on the left-hand side an inscription in Latin: MERCURIUS. The stylized images of the fragments of the 16th-century star charts showing the solar system are used as the background.
