After this course, you will know how to

configure the IP addresses for IAD

device

Set up the PC address

Step 1:

At first we need to change IAD IP address to our network IP using one PC.

So now connect PC and IAD.

Change PC IP address to IAD’s network IP address .So that we can put PC and IAD in same network.

Example:

IAD IP address - 168.1.1.2 /30

PC IP address - 168.1.1.1 /30

To enter IAD

Step 2:

Ping IAD IP address to check whether connection between PC and IAD has been established or not.

Then give telnet command to enter IAD IP address.

To enter in to IAD IP address we should give login ID and password.

To enter IAD

Here we are entering into IAD using telnet command.

To enter IAD

We should give login and password to enter into IAD.

Login/Password: root/root

Assigning server IP

Step 3:

After entering in to IAD IP address …….

Check IAD IP configuration using ifconfig command.

Assign server IP for IAD using server command.

Here we are assigning the server for our IAD using server command

Changing IAD’S IP address

Step 4:

After assigning server IP , change IAD’s IP address to Chennai VSNL’s IP network using ifconfig command .

After this step IAD IP address changes from 168.1.1.2 / 30 to 10.64.2.22 / 30.

Then save our works using save command .

Also give reboot command to save the changes in IAD’s IP address.

Step 5:

Now we finished IAD IP configuration . We are going to ping IAD’s gateway from IAD. For that we assigned PC as IAD’s gateway.

IAD IP address - 10.64.2.22 / 30

IAD gateway ( PC) - 10.64.2.21 / 30

Then enter in to IAD using telnet command then check the IP address, gateway , server all those things using ifconfig command.

Ping IAD from PC ( IAD’s gateway).

Now we are going to check our IAD IP address using ifconfig command.

At last we configured our IAD IP address. So now…………

IAD IP address : 10.64.2.22 /30

Server IP of IAD: 10.64.2.12

Now, we have completed the IP configuration for IAD device.
