Wiley Canyon Road

Wiley Canyon Road is median redesign located in Santa Clarita between Orchard Village Road and Lyons Avenue. I created the median from Santa Clarita Aerial program and verified the site measurements and conditions. Wiley Canyon Road project was to use existing trees and change the lawn to new water smart shrub planting. I was involved in existing site conditions, preliminary design, and Construction Documents.

Controller Point of Connection Options

I created Wiley Canyon Road Irrigation Diagram to understand the existing irrigation conditions for the new Median Landscape Design. I gathered the information by talking with the maintenance team for the area and office notes. The irrigation information was used to develop the Irrigation Construction Document sheets.

Preliminary Design

I designed the layout and planting for Wiley Canyon Preliminary Design. I worked closely with the Principle to create a planting template that unifies all medians while also providing the area with a distinctive look. The planting needed to be water wise, easy to maintain, and attractive year round. I used AutoCad and Impressions to create the documents.

I modified the prelim design of Wiley Canyon Road to develop the Construction Documents. My role in the project was to formulize the information into a complete Construction Documents. I used the contract to create all the necessary pages for the project. I was responsible for creating all the necessary documents and making corrections from office and city review. I used LandFX and AutoCAD to develop the planting and irrigation sheets.

Cover Sheet: Shows City and Landscape Architecture information, notes for construction, sheet index, and vicinity map I created. Hardscape Layout and Planting Plan: Shows existing conditions, new hardscape and landscape areas to remain or be built.
