Vertical Shading: in the winter actually we want to let the winter sun in to give heat and light to the building so we will check for solar access that might be blocked by landforms, vegetation, and manmade structures.

[7] Sun path architectural response: -Avoid trees on the south side of the building. -Avoiding the training rooms to be south-facing -Use active solar collectors for domestic hot water, swimming- pool heating, space heating, and process heat for industry.

Using clear story lighting to reduce the need of electrical lighting in the sunshine hours, and avoiding the use of skylight to protect the interiors form the high intensity of the summer sun heat.

Using light colors for exterior walls to reflect high percentage of the sun radiation.
