Hypothesis:People, both men and women, are often not aware that they are the victims of sexism, they may not even know that sexism is an actual thing that is happening whenever and wherever you are. both consciously or unconsciously.

Definition:

1.prejudice or discrimination based on sex, which more often affects female.

2 . behavior and or attitudes that foster stereotypes of social roles based on sex.

Wage

women who perform the same tasks as men are often

paid less and receive fewer benefits from their work.

according to (najc.ca) in Canada, women earn only 70.4

percent of what men earn .

Job Positions

Women currently hold 20 (4.0%) of CEO positions at

S&P 500 companies.

The problem gets worse as women rise in the ranks, with

45 percent of women in top-level positions reporting they

have faced sexism.

● a girl cannot play soccer because she is a girl

● a male cannot be a part of the cheerleading squads because he’s male and he’s better off playing as a quarterback.

● Men pay because they’re the breadwinners?

● different treatments for domestic violence victims, especially males

Why does it happen?1. culture

the way ‘things are supposed to be done’. Culture defines who women and men are, what they do, and establishes the structure of the relationship between them.

Evaluation:not fully accuratebased on our survey and research, we have found that a lot of people do know the term sexism, however they are not 100% sure whether or not they are being the victim of sexism. in addition, gender inequality is also closely related to sexism and people do believe that they are treated unequally based on their gender.
