Purchase Order IMEI Checker - June 2013 (VBA/Excel) The company this program was developed for would order thousands of expensive products per week. These

products would be entered into the point of sale system and then ordered from the vendor. After the products

were drop-shipped to each location, the purchase order in the point of sale system would be used to receive the

shipped stock into inventory. Some devices were received as the wrong model, size or color. A program was

developed to perform daily scans on shipping confirmation emails in Outlook. A point of sale system record of

purchase order receivings was compared to the shipping confirmations from the vendor. Without a program,

each individual device would have to be searched (30 seconds several thousand times) but with this program, it

took only seconds to identify the individual devices requiring attention.

This is an example screen shot of the output report. When the program ran, all exception data requiring research showed up

here. Miscellaneous other functions were available in the tabs.

This is an example email that was sent as shipping confirmation. It was the only source of information guaranteed to be correct

that contained the actual SKU and serial number of what was ordered. When this information was compared to receivings in

the point of sale system, discrepancies are discovered.
