Six bad habits that could be doing you harm at work

We spend around eight hours a day at our jobs – that’s a lot of time sitting at a desk!

Are you guilty of committing one of these six bad habits? If you are, maybe it’s time to make a few adjustments.

Slouching. This can cause headaches, back pain and decrease energy leaves. So sit up straight!

Skipping lunch. Lunch breaks allow us to move around and increase our energy levels. Your eyes will enjoy the break from the screen too.

Sitting for too long. Being glued to your chair for long periods of time can increase your risk of several health related problems. It’s a good idea to get up regularly to make a cup of tea or take a quick break.

Loud Headphones. What’s that? I SAID LOUD HEADPHONES. Listening to music on high volume not only damages your hearing but can exclude you from the social setting of the office.

Not drinking enough water. It is important to stay hydrated as it helps you to remain focused and engergised.

Obsessively checking emails. Regularly checking e-mails can distract you from more important tasks. Set aside specific e-mail checking times and increase your efficiency.
