The Bangladesh Armed Forces consists f the three uniformed military services of Bangladesh: the Bangladesh Army, the Bangladesh Navy and the Bangladesh Air Force.

The Para-military Border Guard Bangladesh and Bangladesh Coast Guard are under the jurisdiction of the Ministry Of Home Affairs. during peacetime, but during wartime they fall under the command of Bangladesh Army Bangladesh Navy respectively.

Bangladesh Defense was founded in 1971 on 4th April during liberation war.

The modern history of the Bangladesh military began its inception on the night of 25 March 1971 and in its twilight hours when Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was arrested and flown to West Pakistan. On 26 March 1971 evening Major Ziaur Rahman broadcasted the official declaration of Independence of Bangladesh on behalf of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman from the captured Kalurghat[ radio station in Chittagong.

Navy has lots of activities. They control and secure our shipping ways, seaports and rivers. They protect general people, leaving near shore and banks from robbers, prevent doing illegal businesses on water ways. They also help affected people during post natural disaster.

Sharp eyesight along with the agility, they move around our territory like a falcon and track planes which illegally get in.Not only for the sake of Bangladesh, they play significant role in relief operation, disaster management as well as UN missions.

Women in Definse…

Now-a-days women are joining Bangladesh defense by showing there talents, skills and capability with dignity besides man.

Female officers are achieving high level of courses like basic commando, advance commando, and also joining infentry core with male officers.... They are gaining high level of rank completing operations successfully

1. First woman Brigadier of Bangladesh Suraiya Begum.

2. Captain Jannatul Ferdous has attained rare pride to be the first Bangladeshi woman paratrooper

It’s a respected job. It says “Every high is my head” ( ন্তি�� উন্ন মমন্তিশা�) It’s a way where a person can do his job honestly &

have the ethics of humanity.

In this profession Soldier can serve people directly & they are always ready for the welfare of people. Such as Natural disaster, Development work, Against crime and many other social work.

In war & peace they are everywhere for our country.

Why we should join Defense …

In corporate life we do for our corporation & make profit or salary. That can help our economy but not good enough for welfare of people.

Though we have many others Govt. or Private services but it can’t do as much as Defense.

Doctor, Teacher, Police, Lawyer & many others profession took a vital role in our society But all kinds of characteristics are include in Defense.
