There are 3 main categories that could relate between broiler gout to breeders and hatchery

A- Proper egg storage with suitable temperature and humidity to minimize the egg water loss

B- Achieving a standard egg weight loss profile during incubation

C- Humidification of holding rooms and chick transporters may also be beneficial

D- Maintain good hatch window that prevent early hatched chicks from excessive water loss

E- Long distance transportation without proper environment (temperature & humidity)

1 – Hatchery causes that include

The adverse effect of all the previous causes is it lead to

dehydration which is main cause in inducing gout in young age

Causes of dehydration

The 2nd possible cause is there is chronic exposure of the breeder to

doses of mycotoxins that affect kidney that transferred to broilers

through egg

1 – Ochratoxin

2 – Oosporein

3 – Citrinin

There are three main mycotoxins affecting kidney as primary target

1 - Nephropathogenic strain of IB

2- Avian nephritis virus ANV

3 - Chicken astro virus CastV

3- Infectious causes of broiler gout

continued

There is some evidence of vertical transmission of CAstV and ANV from breeder to broiler
