Case Studies(Directly from the KI Website)

Baylor Regional Medical CenterChallenge: “Baylor was looking for a chic, upscale look,”

states Sandy Christensen of the Spencer Company, a healthcare

environments and workplace consulting practice. “Baylor

wanted something different from an ordinary hospital look.”

Kala Heffren, also with the Spencer Company, notes the desired

image was inspired by the concept of creating a “hotel-like”

environment.

Solution: the unique Briar Multiple Seating system offers

character through contrast…and is flexible enough to

accommodate space limitations.

Complementary tables accompany the entire collection to

complete the look and feel of the environment.

Cornerstone Eye CareChallenge: The overall intent was to create a contemporary space that reflected boutique aesthetics in patient

waiting spaces and optimum comfort throughout for patients, physicians, and staff.

Solution: Cornerstone Eye Care contacted KI to initially assist solely with its patient waiting areas. Thereafter

recognizing that KI offered an extremely diverse product line with a range of price points, Pulaski and her design

firm collaborated with KI to furnish its entire facility. KI’s Affina® Lounge Collection was selected as the waiting

area winner due to its indisputable comfort and style, as well as its multiple seating options that can accommodate a

wide variety of patient sizes and needs. Among the other functional solutions KI delivered were WireWorks® panel

systems for patient administration and welcome reception stations, while conference rooms are furnished with

boardroom-style Portico™ tables encircled by Kismet® chairs.

Einstein Medical Center Montgomery

Challenge: The project required durable

furniture that was comfortable and had a

modern style. In fact, a goal of the new center

was to offer “hotel-like amenities aimed at

improving [patient] care.”

Solution: They loved the mix-and-match ability

of KI’s Soltice®, Arissa®and Lyra® collections,

which provided the modern aesthetic and

exceptional durability they desired, while fully

supporting the needs of the healthcare facility.

UW Medicine Shoreline Center
