• Let information find you• Look beyond the obvious (subjects, geographies)• Don't worry about 'missing' important information

• Enable information to flow (digital, compatible, tagged)• Highlight what's relevant• Follow different processes, depending on how much

attention a piece of information should get

• Maintain one main repository of personal information• I look for the following characteristics

o Access across devices and platformso Strong search function (also inside documents,

including handwritten)o Easy connectivity (email, linked apps)o Recommended content (in own and outside media)o High level of security (trusted brand, encryption,two-

factor authentication)

• Regularly schedule time to review and reflect (find a location that inspires you)

• Understand what is going on. What does it mean (different frames)?

• How might things be connected – are there trends emerging?

• Develop storylines• Get feedback to test hypotheses• How should I act?

• Integrate email and calendar and follow up with to do list (with lists per person/context, due dates)

• Give and take: Help others filter information by sharing• Provide context and interpretation when sharing• Use sharing to gain feedback and new insights

• Don't store sensitive information outside your organisation• Use strong and unique passwords and appropriate security• Don't link company accounts to outside applications• Ensure team access to your work data• Don't expect IT support (it's not their job)
