What is a team• A group of people interdependent on each
and working together within a given time frame to achieve set goals, objectives and results according agreed norms and procedures.
• Dyer (1984) defined a team as having two
or more people with a common goal, specific role assignments, and interdependence.
What is a team
• Guzzo and Dickson (1996) define a team as group made up of individuals who see themselves and who are seen by others as an entity, who are interdependent because of the tasks they perform as members of a group, who are embedded in one or more larger social systems e.g. community, organisation), and who perform tasks that affect others (such as customers, clients or co-workers)
Characteristics of Effective Teams:

able to measure their outputs• Commitment to periodic evaluation of team
