Our farmers’ Jatropha garden are located about 20 KMs west from the City of Maumere that has a good size port and largest

airport in the island

Jatropha PLUS3 is an enhancement to our existing Jatropha Growing program with agro-forestry integrated approach:Fast Growing Teakwood – timber can be harvested in 7-

10 yearsApi culture of Bee-Farming, provides honey and

additional income to farmers at the same time bee-polination will increase Jatropha and other fruits productivity.

Vetiver –grass Growing to harvest water from the slope and will provide additional revenue for farmers as Vetiver root is feedstock for making Vetiver oil.

We plan to begin the PLUS-3 Program this year.

These Teakwood plants practically grow at a pace 1 meter per month and Teakwood shares similarly dry land environment with Jatropha

Bee farming is highly expected by farmers as ways to get additional income besides just from Jatropha growing
