Location

– The matses are located in in the Amazon Rainforest in Peru and Brazil.

– They are located along the Chobayacu and Galvez rivers.

Cause Of Death

• Most of the Matses are being killed by Malaria and Hepatitis and the country refuses to provide vaccinations

• The other leading cause of death is from lack of clean water.

Religion

• Matses are animalists because they worship the Jaguar. They are also Christians.

• The Matses speak Spanish and Portuguese .

Problem

• The problem with the matses is their natural resources are being ruined by a canadian oil company because their land is rich with oil.

• This is happening because Peru sold the Matses land to Canada.

• The Matses rely on their land for food and natural resources.

Solution

• For our solution we would send a strongly worded letter to Peru telling them that they need to give the Matses vaccinations because they are apart of their country.

Solution

• We would also send food and bottled water to the Matses because the oil company is destroying their land where they find their food

• We would start a fundraiser at school to hire doctors to go to the Matses villages to give them vaccinations.
