About me:

• Certainly I can say that Alpine Skiing is the most formative activity in my life. It has had a significant amount on both my personal and professional development

• For me, Alpine skiing is pure emotion, combining sportive elegance with a taste of freedom and adventure • Being the first skier on the slopes at 8.30 am and feeling the cold, the wind and packed powder snow, my feeling is comprised of the highest forms of adrenaline and happiness

2.Why and Where

*South Tyrol – the paradise in the

Alps

• Growing up in the heart of the Dolomites (South Tyrol), I was able to ski at the age of 5 years. I was so fascinated that I also joined the local alpine ski club

• During winter time, I like to explore new ski resorts at the weekend, try new slopes and do day excursions both alone and with family or friends

• My favourite resorts are located in South Tyrol, Italy and are called “Alta Badia” and “Val Gardena”.Moreover, I have a penchant for the Austrian ski region around “Kitzbühel” that is famous for its excellent but also demanding slope conditions

3. Impact on personal

development

*Alpine Skiing fosters strong values and life

skills

*Through my experience in the local ski team I gained qualities such as patience, team work abilities and I became used to daily hard work

*My personality grew due to the fact that by demonstrating a combination of ambition, commitment and a positive attitude the way to success is paved

*Further, Alpine Skiing is a sport which requires a high amount of concentration, perfectionism and both body and mind control

* I can feel clearly the positive influence this sport gave me in my youth and has been giving me at this time regarding my personal development

4. Impact on professional development

*Alpine Skiing fosters strong values and life

skills

*This extreme sport formed my personal qualities that also characterize my professional development. For instance, it is skiing that contributed in my own progress by exercising harder every winter.

*While becoming an excellent skier gradually, my philosophy became that it is necessary to go the “extra mile” to achieve the highest aims. Hence, I experienced important values such as stamina, perseverance and pushing oneself

*While gliding fast over the well prepared slopes, I imbibe the wonderful nature, I am able to broaden my horizons and I can feel my willingness to succeed – in the field of sports as well as in business
