• Son of Godfrey & Magdalena Fox (Fuch)

• Wife – Married Sara Alberta Forsythe March 18, 1883 in Accident; she

passed February 14, 1935

• Children – Ira Ellsworth, Laura May, Effie Helena, Nellie Pearl, Arnold

Ellis, Macie Izetta, Theresa Elizabeth

• “United” (baptized) with the Accident Lutheran Church

• Charter member of the Grace Lutheran Church – organized Nov 13, 1898 –

where he was a member of the Joint Council for 40 years, the council the

honorary pall bearers at his March 7, 1937 funeral at the church

• Leader in civic affairs and community welfare:

Representative of the Friendsville district in the Maryland House of

Delegates

Member of Garrett County Old Age Relief Committee
