OhioHealth & Mission Matters Company and Program Overview
• OhioHealth is a faith-based, not-for-profit
healthcare system of over 28,000 associates,
physicians, and volunteers throughout 12
hospitals and 50+ outpatient locations
throughout Ohio
• Community service is an important part of the
OhioHealth mission "to improve the health of
those we serve," and aligns with our cardinal
value of Compassion.
• Planning process took approximately one year
• Stakeholders included Community Relations,
IS, HR, and Marketing/Communications
• OhioHealth branded VolunteerMatch platform
“Mission Matters”
• Launched July 1, 2014 to coincide with new
fiscal year
• Initially available to approximately 19,500
associates through single-sign on technology
Results – July 1, 2014 to December 31, 2014
• Goal: Track 10,000 hours
• 8,828 hours tracked for 1,891 associates
– Average – 4.7 hours per active associate
• 1,316 associates logged on and activated
profiles
• Hours tracked for 113 organizations
