How Engine Mount Affect The

Engine ?

The engine is secured by using a mechanism of rubber and metal

called engine mount that holds the engine in certain position with

less noise and vibration..

It stabilizes the engine in the engine bay …

Engine Vibration:

Engine mount controls the vibration of engine and a bad

engine mount cause excessive vibration..

Engine Rattling :

Make sure to check and replace it to reduce the

intensity of rattling..

Exhaust Leakage :

A broken engine mount can allow the engine to move..

This leakage creates different problems

like :

Excessive exhaust noises

exhaust gases flows towards

passenger section

Engine is not in place :

Engine mount holds the engine in the right place, but when it’s

broken or worn out then it affects the alignment of engine..

One can easily find out any displaced engine like it looks tilted or sagged ..

Engine Damage :

The displaced engine can get damaged by metal

surface around while you accelerate or

decelerates …

The damage can affect the other expensive parts like :

Valve Cover

gaskets

engine manifolds etc..

The displaced engine also causes a damage or breakage

to the engine belt and hosepipes …

If the vehicle used on rough and uneven

surfaces, then it can cause fast wearing out

of engine mount..

To protect the engine mount, one must drive slowly

on uneven or bumpy roads…
