Contents page step by step

Here i will be showing step by step demonstrations of how my contents page came together, i will also be creating three different contents pages to select which one suits my magazine best in the end. I will be looking at already published magazines for guidance, bellow i will show which magazines i have been looking at in order to create my own contents page.

From NME i took the titles from the articles, the bold helps separate the articles which i found that looks quite nice on my own contents page.

Q has been my most influential magazine contents page, from this contents page I took the idea of separating the articles with the lines and also the number boxes to go next to the photographs and also the articles. I have also looked at their layout and created on which looks quite similar.
