Documentary photography usually refers to a popular form of photography used to chronicle significant and historical events. It is typically covered in professional photojournalism, but it may also be an amateur, artistic, or academic pursuit. Fay Godwin (17 February 1931 – 27 May 2005) was a noted British photographer, most widely known for her black-and-white landscapes of the British countryside and coast.
