Pit Houses - Another type of dwelling most of the populations of the Southwest lived in, carefully dug rectangular or circular depressions in the earth with branch and mud adobe walls supported by log sized corner posts. This was a very creative architecture used, Pueblo people considered columns to support the weight, digging to lay out the

structure and shape. Most architectures and developers use similar techniques before they start a construction project.

Cliff Dwellings – Another type of dwelling for the pueblo people, constructed at the sides of the mesas and mountains of the Southwest, almost invisible to the eyesight blend it between

the canyons, perfect location for the proximity to water supply.

The kiva is a subterranean isolated dark room reached by ladder through an opening in the roof. The symbolism of the hole refers to a man leaving the womb of the earth. These sacred places were always separate from the living quarters and very limited space.
